Sub: Request for decisive step for settlement of meagre pension crises under EPS 1995, reg.

Respected sirs,

The problem of meagre pension in the quantum of less than Rs 1000 and not exceeding much above about Rs 3000 being provided under the present provisions of employees pension scheme 1995  being prolonged can be solved only by the hike of minimum pension to be a  LIVEABLE  PENSION scientifically and logically evolved that forms a graceful life with human dignity, protected of citizens right to life with socio-economic security having no other option left to get the issue addressed.

The unrest among these pensioners is growing day by day found very much visible through their peaceful protests taking place at nook and corner of the nation where they are settled, whose services rendered round the clock in industries like cement, steel and so many sectors of the public like BEML BGML, state transport services, cooperative sugar factories etc and private/ small scale cottage industries are not to be devalued /degraded to the extent of pushing them to utter poverty conditions after their service.

It is the very grave concern of EPS 1995 pensioners of seventeen periods being the question of basic survival to be maintained in normalcy that ought to have been addressed long back but at least now let their agony come to an end by the decisive step of CBT meeting being held on 4th March 2021 caused by the definition of post EPS 1995 pensionable service and UNREVISED pension for 20 years since the year 2000 without clearance allowance.

Kindly let not continue the present aggravated situation of pensioners with the uncertainty of decision of the problem and What it needs to be done may please necessarily get settled once for all in the light of justice that shall prevail always,   by making necessary changes in the pension scheme with the purposeful objective.

We keep hoping that this time the serious problem of meagre pension would get solved looking into the position being faced.

With high regards

Sincerely your's

ShamRao, national secretary, EPS 1995 pensioners coordination committee.
