THIS WRIT PETITION (CIVIL) HAVING COME UP FOR ADMISSION ON 10.07.2020, THE COURT ON THE SAME DAY DELIVERED THE FOLLOWING:

JUDGMENT

The petitioners have approached this Court seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to process Ext.P3 series of applications for the benefit of pension under the Employees Provident Fund Act in the light of the judgment of this Court in P.Sasikumar V. Union of India - judgment dated 12.10.2018 in W.P(C).No.13120 of 2015 and connected cases.

2. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, the learned Standing counsel for the respondents 1 and 2, the learned Standing counsel for the 4th respondent and the learned Assistant Solicitor General of India for the 3rd respondent.
On a consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made across the Bar, I dispose the writ petition with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider and pass final orders on Ext.P3 series of applications filed by the petitioners in the light of the judgment referred above within six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, after hearing the petitioners. The petitioners shall produce a copy of the writ petition together with a copy of the judgment before the 2nd respondent for further action.
