Eps 95 pension latest good news today: Letter dated 08 October 2018 from Asstt.PF Commissioner, PF Delhi

In para 4 it has been confirmed that retirees before 01-09-2014 are eligible for pension on actual (higher) wages. Para 4 is reproduced below.

4 Revision of pension on actual (higher) is allowed only when the member left the service before 01-09-2014 ie prior to the amendment of the Employees Pension Scheme removing the option to contribute to EPS 95 on wages higher than the ceiling limit.

They denied pension on the ground that the retiree was from exempted organization. Now this classification of exempted vs non exempted has been quashed by Supreme Court, hence EPFO should and had to honor its own version that pre 01-09-2014 retirees are eligible for a higher pension
