EPS 95 Pensioners Pension Revision on Actual Salary: Pension of 22,722 persons has been revised in accordance with the EPFO HQ circular dt. 23.3.2017

As per the information received from time to time from EPFO HQ & field offices by various pensioners, only those pensioners are eligible for pension revision on higher wages as per EPFO directive dt 23.3.2017 who belonged to UNEXEMPTED Establishments and had attained the age of 58 years PRIOR to 1.9.2014 and their contribution @ 12% or 10%, as applicable (Employee & Employer share) with due Administrative Charges had been received by EPFO on ACTUAL WAGES. Please confirm the following:

• Have any directions on contrary to above been issued by EPFO HQ. If so, please provide a copy of such circulars?
• Have EPFO field offices been advised to revise the pension in r/o above eligible pensioners? If yes, pl provide a copy
• Have EPFO field offices been advised NOT to revise the pension in r/o above eligible pensioners? If yes, pl provide a copy
• Position regarding option under Para 26(6) had been clarified by EPFO HQ in letter dt 22.1.2019 (later withdrawn on 7.2.2019 due to Contempt notice regarding a case concerning GSR 609 dt 22.8.2014). Has any advice/directive regarding Para 26(6) been issued to field offices after 7.2.2019? If not, whether such advice is proposed to be issued particularly in view of submissions at Page 2 at Sr No. 5 in the detailed letter dated 23.5.2019 written to CPFC & MoL&E by EPF Officers Association?

(e) Have any directions been issued to field offices not to take up cases reg pension revision w.r.t. HQ directive dt 23.3.2017. If yes, please provide a copy(ies) of the same

No such information available with Pension Division (Meaning thereby no such directions have been issued by EPFO HQ) in r/o 3(a), 3(c), 3(d) & 3(e). Regarding 3(b) refer to circular dt 23.3.2017

Number of cases (RO wise) wherein Pension has been revised in compliance of EPFO HQ circular dt 23.3.2017 till date. Such information has recently been sought & compiled by Pension Branch of EPFO HQ. This consolidated information may be provided to me in all the format in which it is available whether in SOFT Format or in Hard COPY or in BOTH FORMATS
