Yesterday (23/02/2019) one of EPS 95 Pensioner had a talk with Shri Dilip Bhattacharya CBT member. He was busy in his Delhi Party office. Even then he was kind enough to talk with EPS 95 Pensioner about 7 to 8 minutes.
He clearly said, The high empowered committee recommended for double the amount of minimum pension ie 2000 only. Anyway the Hon Minister & his team was not ready to declare any thing about the minimum pension as it was not in agenda of meeting. After all with great persuasion & under pressure, Hon Minister agreed to declare the enhancement of minimum pension in next CBT meeting. The members had showed their displeasure, and asked if election process gets start, then how Gov will declare the same! As code conduct will be there! In answer Hon Minister said that, EPFO is an Autonomous body. It's has the right to declare.
In brief Shri Dilip Bhattacharya CBT member said most probably in first week of March another CBT meeting will be there & possibilities for the increased amount will be 3000 only, as same with unorganized sector. He also told to intensify our Agitation or Andolan. He himself requested to house from his party in comparison of the new scheme of Modi Sarkar for unorganized sector. Our minimum pension under EPS should be at least 6000. Hon Minister also give press note that very soon another CBT meeting will be there on minimum pension hike.
Next EPS 95 Pensioner requested him to come to NAC 27th February Agitation Programme. First he denied as he is very busy in on going strike in Jute Corporation in West Bengal. Even then as per his request he has given assurances to come & wanted to have the reminder on 26th & 27th February morning.
