TAMILNADU STATE CONVENTION OF National Agitation Committee (NAC) held today the 21st October 2021 at BAB S HALL, No. 42 SIRUVALLUR MAIN ROAD, PERAMBUR, CHENNAI- 600 011, between 10.30 AM to 1.30 PM.
Today's Convention started with Prayer. In the convention, around 100 EPS' 95 pensioners of Food corporation of India, Hindustan Teleprinters, Air India, Tamilnadu Civil supplies Corporation, Tamil nadu News Print Limited, Madras Fertilizers limited, Handloom & Handicrafts Export Corporation, National textile corporation, Lucas-TVS, TAICO Bank, Co-optex, Aavin, L&T, Savera hotels, Kalpana Lamps, Dunlop, Binny Mill, Greaves Ranipet, few Pharmaceutical companies and leaders of EPS’ 95 Joint action committee, Chennai EPS Pensioners welfare Association attended.
They all supported the NAC approach and gave the assurance that they will take active part in future activities.
P. Balaji NAC Tamil Nadu Secretary welcomed the gathering and requested everyone to follow COVID 19 guidelines during the convention and invited the leaders of NAC, President Commander Ashok Raut. Mr.Virendra Singh General Secretary, Mr. P. N. Patil, National Chief Advisor, Mr. Ramakant Nargund, NAC South india Chief Co-ordinator, Mr. B S Narkhede, Treasurer, Smt Shobha Jagannath Aras, Women’s wing President, Sau. Sarita Narkhede, Women’s wing Chief Co ordinator, Western Region, Mr. G. Murugaiyan JAC President.
As a mark of respect to the departed pensioner’s souls, two minutes silence was observed.
Mr. G. Murugaiyan JAC PRESIDENT and Mr. K. P. BABU conveyed in brief about their Organization's programmers and the struggle taken up in Tamilnadu supporting the demands of EPS 95 pensioners.
Mr. Ramakant Nargund, NAC South india chief Co-ordinator spoke about the efforts taken by NAC to achieve the common goal of EPS' 95 pensioners.
P. Balaji pointed out that when Central Government is conveying that EPFO is a separate body and they cannot interfere, why can't we pressure the government to merge EPFO with department of Pension.
Mr. P. N. Patil spoke about the prolonged struggle from 2018, and mentioned about the 1032 days CHAIN HUNGER STRIKE. He also spoke about the restoration of capital to nominee after the death of pensioner.
NAC National President Commander Ashok Raut addressed the gathering and explained the prevailing situation in respect of central government’s attention and explained about the recent meeting on 5/8/2021 with Prime Minister and his assurances in all EPS 95 Pensioners getting a minimum of ₹7500/- + DA and 100% medical benefits. 100% pension to widow and ₹5000/- to those who have missed to join EPS'95 scheme. He also conveyed that everyone is waiting for a good news before diwali, If it doesn't happen CENTRAL WORKING COMMITTEE of NAC will decide about the future course of action in their meeting to be held on 15th of November 2021at Jamshedpur.
All the NAC leaders & Mr. G. Murugaiyan were honored with English-Tamil version of THIRUKURAL book as Momentos.
Television channels reporters were present and press meet with many TV Channels took place.
Mr. Natarajan of NAC TN proposed Vote of Thanks to all participants, office bearers, NAC leaders and other supporters, media channel journalists, hall management and volunteers for their co-operation for a smooth functioning of the convention.
Convention ended with NATIONAL ANTHEM.
