Today's 11.08.2020 news in Malayalam newspaper Mathrubhoomi - a leading Kerala Newspaper.
As per a news item appeared today in Malayalam newspaper Mathrubhoomi, EPFO has said to have orally advised its various Regional Offices in Kerala, not to process any further claims of higher pension. News has been reported by their representative Mr K Balakrishnan and I have tried to gather more information from him, but not yet succeeded. Mathrubhoomi employees have also won a case from KHC and have sought information whether any of their employees have started getting higher pension, by virtue of this verdict.
Day before yesterday I spoke to an employee of Manorama, the most circulated Malayalam newspaper in Kerala. Manorama employees case was also clubbed with 52 our IOC Officer's case. Their Employer was very co-operative and all their cases belonged to Kottayam RPFC. May be being scribes, their employees (petitioners) retired in 2014, 2015 and 2016 have already started getting higher pension while the cases of pensioners retired during subsequent years are under process.
At Kottayam RPFC Office, only one employee is assigned for pension and due to Corona, office attendance was restricted. Now with today's news item about the reported oral instruction what would be the status of further pending cases may have to be ascertained. But in our case decided together with Manorama's, we had gone for CoC, whereas they didn't and still a part of their petitioners have already started getting higher pension, because even EPFO is scared of scribes.
For the benefit of members from Kerala in this group, I am forwarding a copy of today's newspaper report.
