Respected Sirs,
As the honorable members are aware, pensioners in general and EPS 1995 pensioners in particular do not have a common platform to vent their woes and worries. They are placed in a vulnerable and vicarious situation where their voices go unheard by the echelons of governance. Because of their unorganized status, they are tended to be taken for granted when the issues relating to welfare and well-being  propped up. They are no more members of any trade union so as to enjoy the collective bargaining power. Neither do they enjoy any worthwhile support from either any political party or Government machinery. It is in this compelling context that some of the like minded senior citizens who are EPS pensioners have come together by forming the above welfare associations to pursue the bona-fide interests of the EPS pensioners as well as EPF members. The recent developments arising out of negative attitude and approach of the authorities towards the genuine issues of the hapless pensioners have added more relevance to our existence.
Before we humbly submit our commonly felt concerns and needs to this august body, we place on record our deep felt gratitude for this great opportunity of giving us an audience to us for airing out our grievances. With a fervent hope for  your favorable appreciation of our concerns, we submit:
