An Appeal to the EPS 95 Petitioners – “UNITE & PLAN COMMON STRATEGY” FOR SUPREME COURT HEARING

An Appeal to the Petitioners – “UNITE & PLAN COMMON STRATEGY”

As repeatedly appealed/requested through my SEWA groups, I once again sincerely suggest that all the petitioners of EPS’95 cases (1 or 2 representing each Writ Petition) pending in the Supreme Court which are likely to be listed for hearing on 6.2.2020 must unite together at least at this stage in the common interest of all the pensioners; sit together and plan a united strategy in consultation with their AORs/Sr. Counsels to counter EPFO in the Supreme Court

(Parveen Kohali Sir very happy to share that such an attempt is being done by the Petitioners of Chennai to give a united fight to EPFO in the Madras High Court).
The brief so finalized with consensus of all MUST also be given to all the advocates concerned through their petitioners.  Since about 50 Writ Petitions and 2 Contempt Petitions are likely to be heard together, all the Counsels engaged by the various Petitioners may not get any opportunity to argue in support of their cases because maximum time of the Court may be consumed by the arguments of Senior Counsels but the final decision of the Apex Court will be applicable for all the Petitions (whether their Counsel could argue or not).  In such a situation, not sharing & discussing the arguments in support amongst the petitioners/AORs may NOT be in the interest of all pensioners.

Thus, volunteers from amongst the Petitioners only (in their common interest) should take the initiative themselves instead of suggesting the names of others (A, B, C or D) to do so.

Best wishes
Parveen Kohli
