GOOD NEWS FOR EPS PENSIONERS: Highe Pension News | Higher Pension as Keral High Court Judjument

Reliably learnt that the Petitioners of WP(C) 4610 of 2015 in Kerala High Court (Mr. Jose Paul K. & ors – total SIX petitioners who retired on 31.5.2018) had filed a Contempt Petition no. 562 of 2019 on 13.3.2019 against Shri Sunil Barthwal,CPFC and Shri Andrew Prabhu, RPFC, Ernakulam u/s 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act 1971 in the KHC.


On 2.4.2019, EPFO produced the revised PPO in the KHC wherein 12 months average had been taken as pensionable salary. EPFO has also stated in the Affidavit that they have no intention for not complying with the judgment of KHC. Filing of Contempt Petition has resulted into immediate relief.

IN VIEW OF ABOVE THE PETITIONERS WHOSE CASES HAD BEEN DECIDED IN THE COMMON JUDGMENT DT 12.10.2018 MUST FILE CONTEMPT PETITION BEFORE THE KHC, IF THEIR PENSION IS NOT BEING REVISED AS PER THE ORDERS DT. 12.10.2018 OF KHC (UPHELD BY THE SC ON 1.4.2019) FOR IMMEDIATE RELIEF AND TO BUILD PRESSURE ON EPFO.
